What is integrative nutrition health coaching?

Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches are part of an emerging preventative healthcare model. By taking the time to listen to your struggles, I can help guide you through the obstacles of your medical recommendations or personal health goals so you can be successful in healing your body and feeling great. I will help you explore how food as well as relationships, career satisfaction, exercise, sleep, and spirituality play a role in your health—and quality of life. 

Health coaching services are meant to complement your established healthcare team and are not meant to replace healthcare professionals. 


What is the value of working with a health coach?

At the height of my son’s physical, emotional, and behavioral issues, I was so desperate for answers and when we finally got direction I yearned for someone to hold my hand through his healing. I knew we had to make significant changes in order to repair his health, but the dietary changes we needed to make were not easy—and very unfamiliar. Information alone was not enough to get me through it because I was overwhelmed, stressed, and confused. I was blessed to have someone who was able to answer my one million questions and to help me make practical and sustainable shifts in our lifestyle. I had someone there to listen to me, support me, and encourage me when I felt defeated and lacked confidence and knowledge.

I offer that support and handholding to others as a Heath Coach now. By providing information, guidance, reassurance, consistency, and encouragement, I assist individuals and families in rediscovering health and optimizing quality of life. I help people thrive and to feel their best after they have often struggled to do so for too long.

Can I work with Sarah if I don't live in Lander, Wy?

Yes! Only a handful of my clients live in Lander. I work with individuals across the country. With technology being so reliable and accessible, it is easy and effective to coach over the telephone or video conferencing. 


What is Sarah's approach?

I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Is stress negating all the hard work you are putting into eating well and exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, improving behavioral and emotional disturbances, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance, and health.

My "think outside the box" approach highlights bio-individuality, primary food, and secondary food - which are all concepts that we will explore during our work together.

However, healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. I will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life. 


What is a Secondary Food™?

Eating nourishing foods is an essential way to take good care of our bodies. I emphasize the importance of eating real, unprocessed foods and thinking outside the box, bag, or package when making decision about what to eat. I focus on quality of food and its function rather than on calorie counting and cutting out fat.


How much does it cost for one-on-one coaching?

During your free initial consultation we will discuss your health problems and goals to determine if the 6-month Reset and Thrive program will benefit you. We will also review the cost of the program as well as the various payment plans available.
