What is integrative nutrition health coaching?

Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches are part of an emerging preventative healthcare model. By taking the time to listen to your struggles, I can help guide you through the obstacles of your medical recommendations or personal health goals so you can be successful in healing your body and feeling great. I will help you explore how food as well as relationships, career satisfaction, exercise, sleep, and spirituality play a role in your health—and quality of life.

Health coaching services are meant to complement your established healthcare team and are not meant to replace healthcare professionals.

What is the value of working with a health coach?

At the height of Sarah son’s physical, emotional, and behavioral issues, she was so desperate for answers and when she finally got direction she yearned for someone to hold her hand through his healing. She knew she had to make significant changes in order to repair his health, but the dietary changes needed to make were not easy—and very unfamiliar. Information alone was not enough to get her through it because she was overwhelmed, stressed, and confused. She was blessed to have someone who was able to answer her one million questions and to help her make practical and sustainable shifts in her family's lifestyle. She had someone there to listen to her, support her, and encourage her when she felt defeated and lacked confidence and knowledge.

We offer that support and handholding to others as a Heath Coach now. By providing information, guidance, reassurance, consistency, and encouragement, we assist individuals and families in rediscovering health and optimizing quality of life. We help people thrive and to feel their best after they have often struggled to do so for too long.

What are benefits of working with a health coach?

The benefits of working with a health coach are vast. I'll share a few.

Health coaches:

1) Provide reassurance
2) Offer accountability
3) Are a source for knowledgable advice
4) Help identify needs
5) Assist in goal setting and empower to reach goals
6) Focus on whole health--because health is not just about food and exercise
7) Retrain the way you think about health and priorities in your life
8) Help form a new lifestyle--versus viewing nutrition as short-lived diets
9) Help you overcome the inevitable barriers you will encounter
10) Build self-reliance so you are your biggest ongoing resource

One client voiced the benefits of a health coach well when she said, "I have been trying to make these changes for years and as soon as I started working with you they became easy." Most people need support, advice, and guidance when making changes in their lives.

Can I work with Sarah or Tash if I don't live in Wyoming or Arizona?

Yes! Only a handful of my clients receive in-person coaching. We work with individuals across the country. With technology being so reliable and accessible, it is easy and effective to coach over the telephone or video conferencing.

What is Sarah's and Tash's approach?

We practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that we look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? Is stress negating all the hard work you are putting into eating well and exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.

Together we’ll work to reach your health goals in areas such as achieving optimal weight, improving behavioral and emotional disturbances, reducing food cravings, increasing sleep, and maximizing energy. As we work together, you’ll develop a deeper understanding of the food and lifestyle choices that work best for you and implement lasting changes that will improve your energy, balance, and health.

Our "think outside the box" approach highlights bio-individuality, primary food, and secondary food - which are all concepts that we will explore during our work together.

What is bio individually™?

Bio-individuality means that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, we’ll support you to make positive changes that are based on your unique needs, lifestyle, preferences, and ancestral background. We use a personalized, holistic approach to ensure that you will have great success!

What is a Primary Food™?

Health is much broader than food and exercise. It’s easy to overlook all of the things that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. However, healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity and spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. We will support you in achieving all of your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.

What is a Secondary Food™?

Eating nourishing foods is an essential way to take good care of our bodies. We emphasize the importance of eating real, unprocessed foods and thinking outside the box, bag, or package when making decision about what to eat. We focus on quality of food and its function rather than on calorie counting and cutting out fat.

How much does it cost for one-on-one coaching?

During your free initial consultation we will discuss your health problems and goals to determine if the 6-month Reset and Thrive program will benefit you. We will also review the cost of the program as well as the various payment plans available.
